British Chamber chair Sarah Howard appointed as non-exec director for leading East Anglia developer Jaynic

Jaynic the property developer behind Suffolk Park in Bury St Edmunds and the Haverhill Research Park has appointed Sarah Howard MBE as a non-executive director to help expand its business.

Howard is the Chair of the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) and the immediate past President of the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, and in 2015 she was awarded an MBE for her services to the community through the ONE Haverhill neighbourhood community programme.

Nic Rumsey, the managing director of Jaynic, said: “We are delighted that Sarah has joined Jaynic. She lives and works in Haverhill and has huge knowledge of the East Anglia region and beyond which we believe will be of great benefit in helping us to expand our business. As UK chair of the BCC she also plays on the national business arena,” added Rumsey.

Sarah Howard commented: “I have known Nic for many years and it is an honour to be invited to become a non-executive director of Jaynic. The company is playing a vital role in the provision of new building space and jobs that is so important for the growth of our region. I hope I can make a positive contribution to Jaynic’s expanding business.”

Sarah continues to run Haverhill’s Sarand Business Software and chairs Abbeycroft Leisure – a not-for-profit organisation running leisure centres and health and well-being programmes across Suffolk.

Over many years Jaynic has been involved in an array of high profile schemes in East Anglia including Cambridge Research Park, Buckingway Business Park, Haverhill Business Park, Haverhill Research Park and Suffolk Park and there are further schemes in the pipeline.
