Jaynic has let SP160, a 161,344 sq ft warehouse at Suffolk Park, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, to Greene King, the leading pub company and brewer in the UK. The move follows significant growth for Greene King over the years with more than 20m pints passing through its current distribution centre off Cullum Road every month to be delivered UK-wide.
The current building is showing its age and is vulnerable to adverse weather conditions and so moving to a newer facility allows Greene King to maintain its high levels of operational excellence and improve its environmental footprint.

With a rich heritage of over 200 years, , it brews award-winning beers and operates managed, tenanted, leased, and franchised pubs from its headquarters in Bury St Edmunds.
With the letting of SP160 to Greene King and the earlier sale of its 47,000 sq ft unit to the Sealey Group, another Bury St Edmunds employer, this completes Phase three of Suffolk Park, and Jaynic will decide whether to retain or sell the resulting investment. There is now only a fourth phase in the pipeline and this month West Suffolk Council is due to consider a reserved matters application by Jaynic for both a 77,000 sq ft and 128,000 sq ft warehouse at the park. After this final phase Jaynic will have delivered a total of around 2m sq ft at the park.
Occupiers taking space at Suffolk Park to date include Weerts Group, Skechers, MH Star UK Ltd, Unipart Logistics, Treatt, Sealey and The East of England Ambulance Trust.
Suffolk Park is located within one hour of the Port of Felixstowe to the east, the UK’s largest container port and gateway to the region, and within 30 minutes of Cambridge to the west. It offers a prime and core location on the important A14 strategic corridor. Access to the Midlands, London and the South East are all convenient from Suffolk Park.
