Christmas presents for all at the launch party of Suffolk Park’s new warehouses in Bury St Edmunds

Buying Christmas presents for friends and family can be a very stressful part of the build-up to Christmas but developer Jaynic solved this problem for its guests at an opening party to celebrate completion of two new warehouses at Suffolk Park, Bury St Edmunds, on Thursday 29th November, by giving each one of them a Fortnum & Mason Christmas Hamper – whether they pass them on as presents is their choice! And Guy Gowing of Arnold Keys went one better by winning a wine hamper in the prize draw.

The event attracted around 60 local, regional and London property agents who were treated to a reception, tour of the buildings and a sit-down three course lunch.

Ben Oughton, Jaynic development director, said: “We were delighted with the turnout of agents, who came from far and wide to view our two new warehouses that are looking tip-top and ready for immediate occupation by companies looking for a strategic facility in East Anglia. Judging by the positive feedback from the agents there is strong occupier demand in the region and plenty of interest in the space at Suffolk Park which is in a prime location being less than 1.5 miles from Junction 45 of the A14 with its direct links into the UK motorway network and Felixstowe ferry port to the east,” added Oughton.

The town is the primary commercial and administrative centre for West Suffolk and boasts a variety of service sector, production and manufacturing occupiers including major national operators such as Sealey, Greene King, British Sugar, DHL, Century Logistics, Treatt, Servest, Mizkan and Taylor Wimpey.

Major residential development is underway in Bury St Edmunds with over 5,000 new homes allocated and construction commenced, to help the town’s continued economic growth and accommodate an expanding workforce.

Jaynic has appointed Bury St Edmunds based Hazells Chartered Surveyors as agents for the scheme and interested parties should contact either Jonathan Lloyd or Richard Pyatt on 01284 702626. Hazells are joint agents with Cambridge agents Bidwells with Patrick Stanton as agency lead tel: 01223 841841. Savills London’s logistics department are working alongside Hazells and Bidwells on the logistics development. John Madocks Wright can be contacted on 0207 4098151.
