Jaynic appoints major East Anglia agency as joint agent to continue marketing success at Suffolk Park, Bury St Edmunds

Jaynic Properties, the developer of the 114-acre Suffolk Park scheme at Bury St Edmunds has appointed major East Anglian property agency Bidwells as joint agent to continue its current marketing success.

Bidwells will work alongside existing retained global real estate consultancy Savills and local Bury St Edmunds agency Hazells.

Ben Oughton, development director of Jaynics, said: “We are delighted to have Bidwells on board with its strong reputation in East Anglia and to continue the excellent work of Savills and Hazells. We have had a tremendous start with site sales to Treatt and Sealey and the commencement of construction on two new speculative logistics warehouses which the agents are now actively marketing.”

Patrick Stanton, Head of Bidwells Logistics & Industrial Team, said: “We are thrilled to have been appointed on this exciting new development at Suffolk Park. East Anglia has an enduring shortage of good quality larger warehouse accommodation which Jaynic is addressing with these two speculative units.

“The remaining land is capable of delivering a single ‘mega-hub’ of up to 800,000 sq ft together with a further 37 acres which has been designated as an Enterprise Zone which will provide occupiers with substantial savings on their business rates,” adds Stanton.

Suffolk Park which is adjacent to the A14 with its excellent links into the national motorway network and the port of Felixstowe has outline planning consent for up to 2m sq ft of logistics, manufacturing and business space. Treatt has bought a 10-acre site on Suffolk Park’s enterprise zone for its global headquarters, with Sealey purchasing a further 7.5 acres.

The new major estate road and landscaping have recently been completed and Jaynic, in partnership with major global financing institution PGIM, is developing two major speculative logistics units, a 147,000 sq ft and a 206,000 sq ft to cater for known demand in the region.

The development is part of a broader initiative with St Edmundsbury Borough Council and housebuilder Taylor Wimpey to support a range of new and existing businesses in the popular Bury St Edmunds area and to continue to create jobs and prosperity.

Agents for Suffolk Park are global real estate advisors Savills, Cambridge agents Bidwells and local agent Hazells.
